Hilliard’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) has expanded in both its frequency and footprint. From now until September 27, 2020 the DORA will be active from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The boundaries of the DORA also have expanded, most notably to include the closure of a section of Center Street (between Main and Wayne Streets) and the new Crooked Can Brewery and Center Street Market. During the DORA hours, additional outdoor dining tables will be set up along the one-way section of Center Street, and at Hilliard’s Station Park. The DORA boundaries will also include both sides of Main Street.
During scheduled DORA times, the City of Hilliard will provide staff responsible for placing trash receptacles, the sanitation of tables, overseeing social distancing, and working with the Hilliard Division of Police and local businesses to keep everyone safe and healthy. This year’s DORA participants include: Abner’s Casual Dining, 4051 Main St.; Otie’s Tavern & Grill, 5344 Center St.; Sports on Tap, 4030 Main St.; the Old Bag of Nails Pub, 4065 Main St.; Local Cantina, 3975 Main St.; Starliner Diner, 4121 Main St.; Legacy Smokehouse, 3987 Main St; and Crooked Can Brewing Company & Center Street Market, 5354 Center Street.
