Free Bringing Hilliard together to grow community, inclusiveness and attention to wellness.
Music by Benjamin Marshall and Katayna Ingram
SOW Connected is a grassroots effort by Hilliard CHAT and a local non-profit agency to address stigma and bringing Hilliard together to grow community, inclusiveness and attention to wellness. As employees of RecoveryWorks, A Program of Southeast Inc. and residents of Hilliard, Lisa and I believe that by growing connections in the community, we will find hope and a sense of belonging that will make us a healthier community.
On Friday, April 14th, we held our first event at The Coffee Connection on Main Street in Hilliard. We had live music, food, resources and individuals there to welcome the community to be part of the evening. We learned some things and did a second event in August, thanks for coming!
On Thursday October 26th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm we will host our third event. We will again be at the Coffee Connection on Main Street in the courtyard area. We will have music by Hilliard native Benjamin Marshall and some soul music from Katanya Ingram, as well as food and resources. There will also be an opportunity to hear stories of hope and relatability from others with their own life experiences.
You will walk away with tools to help those you care about, inspiration and suggestions for ways to become more inclusive and an overall feeling of wellness and belonging by connecting with others in our community.
