At its annual Engaging the Community in Tourism Economic Impact Breakfast, Destination Hilliard recognized the Hilliard Division of Police and Norwich Township Fire Department for their support and services at events in keeping residents and visitors safe and informed. In addition, Destination Hilliard recognized Franklin County Agricultural Society, Early Television Museum and Hilliard Arts Council as Tourism Partners in attracting visitors to Hilliard. Hilliard Optimist was recognized as the longest existing club in Hilliard with the purpose of hosting recreational programs for youngsters and adults and bringing tournaments to the community supporting economic impact. Packrat Comics was recognized for serving the community and attracting visitors from all over Ohio with their unique store and Free Comic Book Day in May for 25 years!
Hilliard Ice Cream Trail
In celebration of National Tourism Week May 6-12, 2018, Destination Hilliard has partnered with six local businesses to launch the Hilliard Ice Cream Trail. Visitors and residents can pick up their passport booklet at Destination Hilliard or one of the six participating businesses: Citadel Café, Coffee Connections of Hilliard, Diamonds, The Little Ice Cream Shoppe, New Grounds and Whit’s Frozen Custard. Purchase ice cream treats or specialties to receive a stamp. Once you have received six (6) stamps, take completed passport to Coffee Connections at 4004 Main Street where participants will receive a complimentary, exclusive “I completed the Hilliard Ice Cream Trail” draw string bag.
“Gahanna has the Herbal Cocktail Trail 2.0, Dublin has the Celtic Cocktail Trail, Columbus has the Coffee Trail and Ale Trail and Butler County has the Donut Trail, so we thought we would launch the family friendly Hilliard Ice Cream Trail to feature our local businesses. Everyone loves ice cream, right? We all scream for ice cream!” stated Christy Clark, Executive Director Destination Hilliard.
In addition to the trail, the business will be celebrating ice cream holidays with specials such as June 20th National Vanilla Shake Day or July is National Ice Cream Month or August 2nd is National Ice Cream Sandwich Day or August 18th is National Ice Cream Pie Day or November 11th is National Sundae Day and our all-time favorite is National Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast on February 2nd.
“We are excited to launch the ice cream trail just in time for summer for our residents and to welcome visitors to our family friendly community” stated Clark.

HILLIARD, OHIO—Destination Hilliard is hosting a Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Hilliard Davidson High School, 5100 Davidson Road. The event is free.
Attendees will meet 30 local health care providers with the ability to ask questions and pick up resource information. In addition, there will be interactive booths and services such as chair massage. Complimentary water bottles to first 200 attendees, giveaways and prizes every hour.
